TOfficial Broadcasterhe strength of Fútbol de Primera is the broadcasting team, which includes many of the best-known journalists, coaches, former players, and analysts in the world of soccer.

Our team is led by two of the most respected soccer personalities in the United States:

Andrés Cantor

The most recognized Hispanic sports personality in the United States, Andrés hosts Fútbol de Primera's Daily and Sunday shows and does play-by-play for many of the live games. He is the voice of soccer for the Telemundo Network, and previously was the point man for Univision's coverage of the 1990, 1994, and 1998 World Cups as well as NBC's soccer coverage of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

Alejandro Gutman

Fútbol de Primera Founder Alejandro Gutman, a former professional player who has played in the European Cup, first came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar. He is the creator of the most coveted award in American soccer: the Honda Player of the Year Award, a Fútbol de Primera property.

Coach Carlos Bilardo was the architect of Argentina's World Cup victory in Mexico in 1986. Four years later he nearly repeated this achievement at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, losing in the final to Germany on a penalty kick. He is recognized worldwide as an insightful analyst of the modern game.

Javier Castrilli: One World Cup as a Referee

A referee in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, he has officiated some of the top games in Argentina and throughout the world.

Jorge Da Silveira: Ten World Cups as a Journalist

Without question the most respected journalist in Uruguay. His career in radio, TV and print spans more than 40 years.

Benjamin Galindo: One World Cup as a Player

Galindo played in the 1994 World Cup and was a star for the Mexican National Team throughout the 1990s. During his long playing career in Mexico he played for top club teams such as Chivas of Guadalajara and Cruz Azul. Last year as a coach he led Chivas of Guadalajara to the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores.

Humberto Grondona: Three World Cups as an Analyst

Grondona brings his background as a coach and an analyst to Fútbol de Primera's broadcasts. He coached professionally in his native Argentina for Independiente and Racing Club.

Carlos Hermosillo: Two World Cups as a Player

Hermosillo recently ended a brilliant 17 year playing career that included two World Cups. He is one of the top two leading goal-scorers in the history of Mexican soccer.

Bora Milutinovic: Five World Cups as a Coach

Milutinovic stands alone as the only man to coach five different teams in the Finals of five consecutive World Cups (1986 -- Mexico, 1990 -- Costa Rica, 1994 -- United States, 1998 -- Nigeria, 2002 - China). His thought-provoking style brings a unique perspective to the programs.

Jesus "Chucho" Ramirez:

As a coach, he won Mexico’s first world title at any age level in the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship.

Jaime Rodriguez: One World Cup as a Player

He led El Salvador to the 1982 World Cup in Spain and later became the first player from his country to play in Germany and Japan. He also played professionally in Finland and Mexico.

Sammy Sadovnik: Two World Cups as a Journalist

Sammy has reported on many of the top soccer tournaments in the world. He did play-by-play of the 1998 World Cup and in 2002 shared with Andres Cantor the play-by-play responsibilities for Fútbol de Primera. Originally from Peru, Sammy is now Executive Producer of the Fútbol de Primera Daily and Sunday Shows.

Carlos Valderrama: Three World Cups as a Player

The long-time captain of the Colombian National Team, he played in the 1990, 1994, and 1998 FIFA World Cups.

Luis Alves "Zague": One World Cup as a Player

One of the best Mexican players ever, he played for Mexico in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Zague scored 209 goals in the Mexican league for clubs America, Atlante and Nexaxa.

Special Guest: Javier Aguirre Three World Cups as a Player/Coach

As a player in the 1980s Aguirre starred in Mexican club teams such as America and Guadalajara, and played a key role for the Mexican National Team at the 1986 World Cup. In 1999 he led Pachuca to a National Championship. After taking over as head coach of Mexico's National Team he first miraculously led them to qualification for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and later led Mexico to the World Cup round of 16. After coaching Spanish first-division club Osasuna for four years Aguirre is now the head coach of Atletico Madrid.
