SAN FRANCISCO (May 20, 2002) - Fútbol de Primera proudly announced today the details of its upcoming exclusive Spanish language radio coverage of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, which will be available on a Spanish language radio record 100 stations in the United States.

Beginning on May 27 and continuing for the following 34 days, 31 accredited members of Fútbol de Primera's World Cup broadcast team, most of whom will be located in Korea and Japan, will be working day and night to cover the most popular and highly-anticipated sporting event in the world. This on-site coverage from Korea and Japan is the first time a U.S. radio network has covered the World Cup with such a large number of people located in the host country from start to finish.

Andres Cantor, the most respected soccer broadcaster in the country, will lead Fútbol de Primera's team of well-known broadcasters and journalists in Korea and Japan. Cantor, who broadcast the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups on Spanish language television, will call his first World Cup on Spanish radio and bring his exciting play-by-play style and "Goooaaal" calls to millions of Hispanic sports fans all across the country.

Cantor will be joined in Korea and Japan by the best U.S. broadcast team ever assembled for a World Cup. Fútbol de Primera's World Cup broadcast team includes Mexican soccer legend Carlos Hermosillo, 1986 World Cup winning coach Carlos Bilardo, former U.S. World Cup coach Steve Sampson, El Salvador's 1982 World Cup hero Jaime "La Chelona" Rodriguez, former Argentina, America and Necaxa star Norberto Outes, current Mexican youth national team director Humberto Grondona, and well-respected journalists Fernando Schwartz, Jorge Da Silveira and Sammy Sadovnik, among others.

Fútbol de Primera's broadcast team also includes 2002 World Cup coaches Javier Aguirre of Mexico and Bora Milutinovic of China, who will both bring listeners special insights, commentary and analysis directly from their team's World Cup practice facilities.

In addition to exclusive live radio broadcasts of the World Cup games - the complete schedule of which can be found online at www.LaRadioDelMundial.com - Fútbol de Primera will also broadcast "Buen Dia Mundial," a very special 2 hour program during the 31 days of the World Cup. "Buen Dia Mundial" will air immediately after the last game of each day, at 9:30am Eastern Time/6:30am Pacific Time, and feature exclusive interviews with players and coaches, a recap of the day's games, replays of every goal scored and analysis from its World Cup broadcast team.

Fútbol de Primera's coverage of the World Cup will also include the long-running two-hour Fútbol de Primera Daily Show, the weekly one-hour Fútbol de Primera Sunday Show and 6 daily Minuto Mundial updates.

Additionally, Fútbol de Primera announced today that it has assembled a group of very important national sponsors of this World Cup coverage who will all receive a substantial amount of exposure on its World Cup broadcasts. The official sponsors of Fútbol de Primera's exclusive coverage of the 2002 FIFA World Cup are Western Union, Volkswagen, DirecTV, Sears, Budweiser, Clarinex, Cacique, General Motors and one additional sponsor that will be announced soon.

In making today's announcements, Alex Gutman, the Co-Chairman of Fútbol de Primera, said: "We are very proud to bring the 2002 FIFA World Cup to Hispanic sports fans in the U.S. and give them the high-quality coverage of the tournament that they deserve. After three years of intensive work, we are anxiously awaiting the start of the World Cup. In 2000, Fútbol de Primera was selected from a group of 15 media companies bidding for these World Cup rights. Ever since then we have been working hard to expand our radio network which now includes 100 stations in the U.S. as well as stations in four countries in Central America and Australia. We have also formed a broadcast team that now consists of the best soccer personalities and signed an impressive list of sponsors in a difficult business environment. We are expecting 8-10 million listeners, and we hope that they will appreciate our effort to bring them the best World Cup coverage possible."

In addition to the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Fútbol de Primera is also the exclusive U.S. radio broadcaster of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and all FIFA Additional Events including the 2003 and 2005 Confederations Cups, the 2003 Women's World Cup, and all U-20 and U-17 Youth World Cups through 2006.

Fútbol de Primera also recently announced its partnership in the new SportsYA.com, which will feature online coverage of the World Cup from SportsYA journalists in Korea and Japan and online commentary from members of Fútbol de Primera's broadcast team. SportsYA will also enable Hispanic soccer fans to listen to Buen Dia Mundial and the Fútbol de Primera Daily and Sunday Shows over the internet.

Fútbol de Primera's broadcast of the 2002 FIFA World Cup and all of its programs will not only be heard on 100 stations in the U.S. but also be heard in Australia on Radio Austral.
