Hispanic sports fans in the U.S. and give them the high-quality coverage
of the tournament that they deserve. After three years of intensive work,
we are anxiously awaiting the start of the World Cup. In 2000, Fútbol de
Primera was selected from a group of 15 media companies bidding for these
World Cup rights. Ever since then we have been working hard to expand our
radio network which now includes 100 stations in the U.S. as well as stations
in four countries in Central America and Australia. We have also formed a
broadcast team that now consists of the best soccer personalities and signed
an impressive list of sponsors in a difficult business environment. We are
expecting 8-10 million listeners, and we hope that they will appreciate our
effort to bring them the best World Cup coverage possible."
In addition to the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Fútbol de Primera is also the
exclusive U.S. radio broadcaster of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and
all FIFA Additional Events including the 2003 and 2005 Confederations Cups,
